Our Leadership Team
Ms Dorothy Kang’oro
Founder and Managing Director
Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, LLB (Honours) Advanced Masters in International Tax Law (LLM – Amsterdam Law School).
Dorothy is a highly experienced (20yrs) Tax & Legal Practitioner and specialises in International Tax Practice, Corporate, Commercial, Mergers and Acquisitions Law. She also advises clients on investments and set up of their African operations, tax disputes resolutions, mining conventions negotiations, licensing, regulatory approvals and tax incentives applications.
Her career began in practice with leading commercial law firms before joining KPMG East Africa as Tax and Legal consultant, later joining the International Tax Practices of Arthur Andersen and Deloitte. Dorothy has significant exeprience in providing tax and legal advisory services to the corporates in the Telecomummincation, Mining, Oil and Gas and Financial Services sectors.
Dorothy’s extensive experience in Africa advising clients on various deals in West, East, North and South Africa, offers clients in depth knowledge of different legal and fiscal systems in Africa.
Dr Eric Ketchemin
Non- Executive Director

Dr Ketchemin has extensive experience in providing exceptional commercial strategies for private sector organisations operating within this region. Skilled in delivering innovative solutions to optimise Tax benefits and significantly enhance business revenue.
A highly qualified Senior Tax Adviser with Specialist knowledge of the African Region whose progressive career has been based upon a platform of education and experience within the worlds Blue Chip Financial Accounting organisations. Dr Ketchemin has worked with the Deloitte and Ernest & Young where he was Senior Manager International Tax. He has lectured at Wits University Master of Commerce, Tax course.
Dr Ketchemin has received academic awards in the field of international tax culminating with his presentation of his doctoral thesis at the 2001 Annual Congress of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) in San Francisco (USA).
Mr Edem Andah
Executive Director : Tax and Fiscal Policy
Barrister (Nigeria), BL (Nigeria) M.A Tax., LLM, LLB , PG Certificate in Bus. Admn, ACArb (UK & Nigeria).
Edem Andah has over 30 years’ experience advising clients across the African continent and in Europe. As a well renowned senior tax professional Edem has advised clients on Fiscal policy. He has also published and presented papers on BEPS and tax policy reforms.
Previously Tax Partner at EY Oil and Gas Division, Africa Regional Tax Manager for Shell and International Tax at Baker Hughes, Edem has led teams on several engagements involving cross border transactions, transfer pricing, corporate structuring and divestments of entities.
Edem also specialises in the development and building capacity of tax departments, in the private and public sectors.
Mr. Aubrey Mutale
Director, Financial Advisory Services
Mr Mutale is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Unicapital Group, an investment and strategic advisory firm based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He started his career at the Central Bank of Zambia, and subsequently spent 15 years in commercial and investment banking at various banking and financial institutions. He held senior positions at Commerce Bank and Investrust Bank in Zambia.
Prior to founding Unicapital, he also worked for an investment-banking firm in Johannesburg, Asset Investment Frontiers (AIF), as their Director of the Corporate Finance Division. An Associate Member of the Association of Business Executives, Mr. Mutale serves on the board of the Association’s Council in London, UK.
He also sits on the Board of Directors of Akibba Mining South Africa Ltd, a mining consulting firm—and he is the Chairman of Sechaba Medical Solutions Zambia Ltd.
